Valmet Total Solids Meter

At the liquid module side of the Changi Wastewater Treatment Plant, Valmet Total Solids Meters are utilized to measure the incoming sludge content from both the primary clarifier and secondary clarifier. The sludge is then pumped into a Primary Settling Tank (PST), where solids handling processes take place. Subsequently, the sludge from the PST is transferred to centrifuges for the dewatering process. It is crucial to ascertain the total solids content in the sludge before it enters the centrifuge, as this will directly impacts the dryness of the end product. The dewatered sludge undergoes further thickening via another centrifuge to achieve the targeted dryness, resulting in the formation of dry cakes. Finally, these dry cakes are transported to incineration plants for waste-to-energy purpose.
