PVmet-100

Low cost, compact & easy to install

The PVmet-100 is an innovative sensor platform for PV monitoring. Low cost, compact, and easy to install, it delivers accurate, bankable data and ships fully assembled and factory calibrated.

PVmet is an innovative sensor platform for PV monitoring, developed by Rainwise Inc. and provided by EKO.

The PVMet series of weather stations are designed for solar operations looking to gain insights into the efficiency and status of their PV system with accurate, bankable data. The PVMet series is simple to use, tough enough for harsh environmental conditions, and powerful enough to transform a solar installation into a sustainable solution that saves resources and energy.

The PVmet-100 features sensors specific to PV power generation, with standard measurement parameters including Irradiance, PV back-panel temperature, and ambient temperature.

This low-cost station is compact, turn-key, easy to install and can connect to any inverter or SCADA system. All PVMet stations are Sunspec® certified or compliant and feature integration via Modbus RTU or an ethernet Modbus TCP option.

The PVmet is supplied with a detachable mast section that can be bolted to an existing structure, with various other mounting options, such as the 'Mono Mount', also available.

EKO also provides unique radiometer calibration compliant with ISO/IEC17025/9847.

  • Adjustable global or plan-of-array irradiance sensor
  • 1 or 2x back-of-panel temperature sensor
  • Ambient air temperature sensor
  • Modbus RTU communication
  • Ships fully assembled and factory calibrated

AT-01 Air Temperature Sensor

The meteorological sensor with sun-shield measures the ambient temperature and is used on all PVmet-100 weather stations.

Operating temperature range -40 to 80°C
Accuracy ± 0.3°C
Response time 95% 30 Sec
Resolution -

BPT-01 PV Module Temperature Sensor

The temperature sensor measures the module temperature. The back-of-Panel PV Temperature Sensor is contained within a thermal conductive self-adhesive aluminium housing.

Operating temperature range -40 to 80°C
Accuracy ± 0.3°C
Response time 95% 270 Sec
Resolution -
Cable length 6.2 m

ML-01 Si-Pyranometer

Class C fast reponse SI-pyranometer is made for high-quality irradiance measurements. The sensor can be mounted in  horizontal position for global horizontal measurement applications with a standard removable mounting plate with a spirit level and levelling feet. The Mono-Silicon detector with UV resistant diffuser also gives a cosine response at low solar elevation angles, while the cone-shaped geometry minimizes the effects of soiling or water deposition on top of the diffuser.
