HD2021T Illuminance And Irradiance Transmitter
Overview
The HD2021T transmitter family converts photometric illuminance (lux) and radiometric irradiance (W/m²) into a 0…10 Vdc output signal. The family covers visible illuminance, solar radiation in the 400…1050 nm band, and UVA, UVB and UVC irradiance. Versions with 0…1 V, 0…5 V and 4…20 mA outputs are available on request for orders of minimum 5 units.
It is used for lighting control in offices, production areas, commercial sites, theatres, museums, sports facilities, roadway lighting, tunnels and nursery-gardening systems, as well as for tanning lamp control and UVC monitoring in sewage treatment plants. The transmitters are suitable for indoor and outdoor installation (IP66) and are factory calibrated to the full-scale range specified at the time of order.
Key Features
- Model-specific sensing: Si, GaP and SiC photodiodes with filters matched to visible, VIS-NIR, UVA, UVB or UVC measurement
- Standard 0…10 Vdc output, with 0…1 V, 0…5 V or 4…20 mA on request (minimum order 5 pcs)
- Factory calibrated to the full-scale range specified at the time of order
- Viewing angle corrected in accordance with the cosine law
- Sensitivity potentiometer for adjustment after installation, for example against a reference luxmeter
- Sensitivity can be reduced on request for extremely intense light sources
- IP66 protection for indoor and outdoor installation
- Protected against polarity inversions

Installation notes
- Voltage-output models have three terminals: GND, +Vdc and Vlux (output). Current-output models have two terminals: +Vcc and Iout. Connect the cable shield to GND.
- For lamp intensity monitoring, install the illuminance transmitter on the ceiling close to the area to be monitored.
- Place a reference luxmeter in the operating area and adjust the sensitivity potentiometer until the desired reference value is obtained.
Ordering code
HD2021 + model + . + output + range
Model: T = illuminance (lux); T1 = VIS-NIR irradiance; T2 = UVA irradiance; T3 = UVB irradiance; T4 = UVC irradiance.
Output: A = 4…20 mA current output; V = 0…10 Vdc voltage output.
Measuring range: A, B or C (see measuring range table).
