Overview

The Senseca HD30.1 is a portable spectroradiometric measurement system and data logger for the spectral analysis of visible and ultraviolet light. By connecting one of two interchangeable probes, the system covers the spectral range from 220 nm to 780 nm and calculates a wide selection of photometric, colorimetric and radiometric quantities. The large 4.3" colour touchscreen makes it easy to configure measurements, display spectral data and calculated parameters, and save the results.

The HD30.S1 visible probe works in the 380…780 nm range and the HD30.S2 ultraviolet probe in the 220…400 nm range. Both use a 2,048-element linear CCD detector and a spectrometer based on a transmissive diffraction grating, with an opaline quartz diffuser for cosine correction. Each probe stores its own calibration file. Measurements are saved in the 150 MB internal memory, on a microSD card or on a USB flash drive, and can be transferred to a PC via Ethernet or mini-USB.

Typical applications

  • Spectral and colorimetric analysis of light sources
  • Quality control of lighting systems
  • Verification of lighting in museums and exhibition spaces
  • Monitoring of blue-violet emissions that may damage sensitive exhibits
  • PAR measurements in agriculture, forestry and oceanography
  • Verification of ultraviolet sterilisation and disinfection systems
  • Dermatological phototherapy and UV medical treatments
  • Verification of blue-light lamps used in neonatal therapies
  • Non-destructive testing using ultraviolet radiation

Key Features

  • Spectral coverage from 220 to 780 nm with interchangeable probes
  • 2,048-element linear CCD detector with transmissive diffraction grating
  • Calibration file stored in each probe
  • Opaline quartz diffuser for cosine correction
  • Automatic or manual integration time, from 1 ms to 4 s
  • Four acquisition modes: Single, Continuous, Monitor and Logging
  • 4.3" colour touchscreen
  • Internal, microSD and USB storage, with Ethernet and mini-USB PC connection

Benefits

  • One indicator with two interchangeable probes covers visible and ultraviolet measurements from 220 to 780 nm
  • Calibration data stays with the optical sensor, because each probe stores its own calibration file
  • Calculates many quantities in one system, including illuminance, PAR, CCT, CRI and UVA, UVB and UVC irradiance
  • Flexible data handling: save to internal memory, microSD or USB, transfer via Ethernet or mini-USB, and export for common analysis software
