HD30.S1 / HD30.S2 Spectroradiometer Probes
Interchangeable spectral probes for visible and UV analysis with the HD30.1 data logger.
- HD30.S1 covers 380…780 nm (visible) and HD30.S2 covers 220…400 nm (UV)
- 2,048-element linear CCD detector with transmissive diffraction grating
- Opaline quartz diffuser for cosine correction, with calibration data stored in each probe
Overview
The Senseca HD30.S1 and HD30.S2 are interchangeable spectral probes for the HD30.1 portable spectroradiometer and data logger. Connected to the HD30.1 indicator, each probe extends the system to a different spectral range: the HD30.S1 operates in the 380…780 nm visible range, while the HD30.S2 operates in the 220…400 nm ultraviolet range. Together they cover the spectrum from 220 to 780 nm.
Both probes use a 2,048-element linear CCD detector and a spectrometer based on a transmissive diffraction grating. The HD30.S1 is calibrated with a reference halogen lamp and the HD30.S2 with a reference deuterium lamp. An opaline quartz diffuser provides cosine correction for measurements from extended light sources, and each probe stores its own calibration file, so the calibration data stay associated with the optical sensor.
Typical applications
- Spectral and colorimetric analysis of light sources
- Quality control of lighting systems
- Verification of lighting in museums and exhibition spaces
- Monitoring of blue-violet emissions that may damage sensitive exhibits
- PAR measurements in agriculture, forestry and oceanography
- Verification of ultraviolet sterilisation and disinfection systems
- Dermatological phototherapy and UV medical treatments
- Verification of blue-light lamps used in neonatal therapies
- Non-destructive testing using ultraviolet radiation
Key Features
- Two interchangeable probes: HD30.S1 (380…780 nm) and HD30.S2 (220…400 nm)
- 2,048-element linear CCD detector with transmissive diffraction grating
- Calibration file stored in each probe
- Opaline quartz diffuser for cosine correction (3 mm on HD30.S1, 2 mm on HD30.S2)
- Automatic or manual integration time, from 1 ms to 4 s
- HD30.S1 measures spectral irradiance, irradiance, illuminance, PAR, CCT, CIE 1931 and CIE 1976 coordinates, CRI and spectral transmittance
- HD30.S2 measures spectral irradiance, UVA, UVB and UVC irradiance and spectral transmittance
- Stray light below 0.03%
Benefits
- Visible and ultraviolet coverage from 220 to 780 nm with just two probes on one indicator
- Calibration data stays with the optical sensor, because each probe stores its own calibration file
- Calibrated against reference lamps: halogen for HD30.S1 and deuterium for HD30.S2
- Fine spectral resolution, with a 4.5 nm pass band (HD30.S1) or 2.5 nm (HD30.S2) and 0.3 nm wavelength accuracy
