LPPHOT01 Photometric Probe
Class B photometric probe for indoor illuminance monitoring.
- Measures illuminance from 0…200 klux with V(λ) spectral response
- Cosine-corrected diffuser for angular light measurement
- No external power supply, individually calibrated
Overview
The Senseca LPPHOT01 is a class B luxmeter probe that measures illuminance, defined as the luminous flux (lumen) passing through a surface divided by the surface area (m2). Its spectral response follows the standard photopic curve V(λ), the same as the human eye, and it has a cosine-corrected diffuser. It is suitable for indoor applications that need constant monitoring of light.
The probe needs no external power supply. The photodiode signal is given in mV through a resistor shunting the photodiode ends, and the measured value is calculated with the calibration factor. Each probe is individually calibrated, with the sensitivity factor marked on the housing. Calibration is done against a luxmeter calibrated by a Primary Metrological Institute, using a standard illuminant A (a reference incandescent lamp at 2856 K). The output signal can also be amplified or converted into a 4…20 mA or 0…10 Vdc signal.
Typical applications
- Indoor illuminance (lux) monitoring
- Indoor applications that require constant monitoring of light
Key Features
- Class B luxmeter probe for illuminance measurement
- Measuring range 0…200 klux
- V(λ) spectral response, matching the standard photopic curve
- Cosine-corrected diffuser
- Typical sensitivity 0.5…1.5 mV/klux
- Calibration accuracy <4%
- Passive mV output, no external power supply needed
- Individually calibrated, with the sensitivity factor marked on the housing
Benefits
- Readings follow the response of the human eye, thanks to the V(λ) spectral response
- Wide range up to 200 klux for indoor illuminance monitoring
- Passive output with no external power supply, which keeps wiring simple
- Individual calibration, with the factor marked on the housing, allows direct calculation of the measured value
