LPUVB01 UVB Radiometric Probe
Radiometric probe for indoor UVB irradiance measurement.
- Measures irradiance from 0…200 mW/cm2 in the UVB range (280…315 nm)
- Blind to visible and infrared light
- Passive mV output, no external power supply, individually calibrated
Overview
The Senseca LPUVB01 is a radiometric probe that measures irradiance, defined as the radiant flux (W) passing through a surface divided by the surface area (m2), in the UVB spectral range (280 nm…315 nm). Thanks to the use of a new type of photodiode, the probe is blind to visible and infrared light. It is suitable for indoor applications that need constant radiometric monitoring.
The probe needs no external power supply. The photodiode current is converted into a potential difference through a resistor and read in mV with a voltmeter, and the irradiance value is calculated with the calibration factor marked on the probe housing. Each probe is individually calibrated, using the 313 nm line of a Xe-Hg lamp filtered through a special interferential filter, by comparison with the primary standards of the Senseca Metrological Laboratory. The output signal can also be converted to 4…20 mA or 0…10 Vdc using compatible HD978TR series converters.
