Overview

The Model CA-6 Zinc Analyzer is an automated online system for continuous water monitoring, using colorimetric analysis with an LED light source and a heated reaction cell. Its dual-enclosure design keeps the top electrical section completely isolated from the bottom liquids section.

During operation, the system performs a smart reference measurement after adding initial reagents to eliminate background sample color, turbidity, and refractive index variations. It then adds color-producing reagents, mixes the sample, takes the final reading to calculate concentration, and automatically drains and rinses the cell between cycles.

The CA-6 can also be configured to measure: Aluminum, Ammonia, Chlorine, Chloride, Chromium VI, Copper, Cyanide, Hardness, Iron, Manganese, Nickel, Nitrate, Nitrite, Phosphate, Total Phosphate, Silica, Sulfate, Zinc.

Typical Applications

  • Drinking water

  • Industrial waste water

  • Effluent water

  • Surface water

  • Boilers and cooling towers

Key Features

  • Wide Measuring Range: Measures from trace µg/L up to 125 mg/L $\text{Zn}^{2+}$ using the internal dilution module

  • Color Touchscreen Interface: Features an intuitive graphic display with multi-language support, easy menu access, and a USB datalogger

  • Automatic Calibration & Cleaning: Automated validation, cleaning, and calibration reduce downtime and ensure accuracy

  • Multiple Streams: Supports dual streams natively, with expansion up to 4 streams using an external sequencer

Benefits

  • Dual-Compartment Enclosure: Ensures complete physical separation between the electronics and the wet part

  • Low Reagent Consumption: Minimizes operating costs with low reagent usage—only 1.1 L (0.29 US gal) for the 16 mm cell or 2.0 L (0.53 US gal) for the 26 mm cell of each reagent every 30 days at a 15-minute analysis frequency

  • Factory Tested, Ready for Installation and Operation: Fully operational right out of the box—just connect the power, sample, and reagent lines
